The Pennsy food hall located at the base of 2 Penn Plaza in New York will shut down at the end of March, reports Gothamist. The food hall, which opened in 2015, offers a variety of fast-casual options for Madison Square Gardne’s pre-game and pre-show crowd.
One of the hall’s vegan options, The Cinnamon Snail, will close for good when Pennsy closes its doors. Founder Adam Sobel said in a Facebook post, "The Snail is a great reflection of who I was and what I wanted 12 years ago when I started planning the food truck. Now it is time for me to create something that's a better reflection of who I am now, and what I feel like the vegan world needs next." He added that he would consider selling the brand, recipes, food trucks, and its commercial kitchen. Full Story
