Meijer is opening a neighborhood market store in Royal Oak, Mich., outside of Detroit, reports Progressive Grocer. The smaller format store will focus on fresh food, local artisan items, as well as national and Meijer brands. It will also have open-air elements and a pedestrian-friendly design near the Beaumont Hospital campus.
“We are excited about the impact Woodward Corner Market will make on the community, this Royal Oak development and on Meijer,” says Justin Stricklen, director of market format stores for Meijer. Full Story
