Sweetgreen is piloting its Outpost program that offers free delivery to the headquarters of specific companies, reports Forbes.
The program features kiosks installed in headquarters that serve as a designated pickup area. The company currently has 15 Outposts in place, with plans for 1,000 by the end of 2018 and could expand to 2,000 by the end of 2019. The overall catering market generated $58 billion in 2017, up from $37 billion in 2011, according to Technomic. Catering accounted for 11 percent of the total foodservice market in 2017 and is expected to continue at a 5.6 percent compound annual growth rate through 2019, according to the report. Full Story
