Hydrox filed an official Federal Trade Commission complaint accusing Oreo distributors of hiding or moving Hydrox cookies on store shelves, reports Food & Wine. Mondelez International, the maker of Oreo, hires people to stock their products on shelves, while Hydrox relies on store workers to stock their products.
Hydrox announced the FTC complaint on Facebook and reportedly included photos supporting their claim. The company also said a buyer for one of the largest U.S. store chains warned it that Mondelez would hide Hydrox products hoping to get them discontinued. An Oreo spokesperson said they have not received notification of the complaint, according to the report. Full Story
