Schnucks has remodeled two of its St. Louis locations and given the North 9th Street location a new name: Schnucks Downtown. Upgrades at the new Downtown location include expanded meat and seafood, produce, and grocery selections, as well as self-checkout stations.
The other location, Schnucks Lindell, includes an expanded hot food selection, a new grab-and-go section, and a new cheese island. In addition, a service meat counter is being added to the meat department and fresh sushi will be offered in the seafood department.
“We are constantly evaluating each of our stores and the communities we serve, and are excited to bring our St. Louis City customers newly-remodeled supermarkets at each of these locations,” said Schnucks chairman and CEO Todd Schnuck, in a statement. “As the only traditional grocer serving St. Louis City, we will continue to nourish the lives of these customers and invest in our many stores in the city where our company was founded by my grandmother more than 80 years ago.”
