Aldi To Open Philadelphia Store

Aldi’s North Broad Street location in Philadelphia will open in November, reports Billy Penn. This location will feature a fresh foods section that is 40 percent larger than other stores, Aldi’s Center Valley division vice president Bob Grammar said in an email to Billy Penn. In addition, it will have six aisles and feature open ceilings, covering about 25,000 square feet, making it twice the size of the South Street Whole Foods location.

This is just one of the grocery locations that will open in the next year. A Lidl store is set to open on Roosevelt Blvd. some time in 2021 and the Philadelphia Business Journal confirmed that a new Amazon grocery store is planned for Spring Garden St., according to the report. Full Story
