Save Small Business Fund Closes to New Applicants

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Save Small Business Fund grant program was closed to new applicants hours after it began accepting them on Monday afternoon, due to an overwhelming response.

The program had been accepting applications for its $5,000 grants, from businesses with three to 20 employees, that are located in an economically vulnerable community, and have been harmed financially by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Due to overwhelming interest in this grant program, we have reached our capacity and we are not accepting new applicants at this time," according to a message on its website. "We know these are difficult times, and we wish we could help everyone who needs it."

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a private sector 501(c)(3) charity affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The program is supported by founding partner Vistaprint and donations from Merck, S&P Global Foundation, and Travelers.
