Nestle SA is expanding its blockchain program to trace the supply chain of its Zoegas coffee brand, reports Food Business News. Sold in Sweden, the brand uses Rainforest Alliance certified arabica beans from Brazil, Colombia, and Rwanda.
A QR code on the packaging of the Zoegas product will allow consumers to trace the coffee from its growing location to the Zoegas facility in Sweden. The data includes information about farmers, time of harvest, transaction certificates for specific shipments, and more. Full Story
