The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association announced Tuesday that its IDDBA 2020 show will be cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. It was to take place May 31-June 2 in Indianapolis.
The decision to cancel the event was made after the U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams announced Sunday that Indianapolis is an emerging hotspot for COVID-19, according to a letter sent to industry stakeholders by Michael J. Eardley, IDDBA president and CEO.
“We understand that our tradeshow is an important contributor to the growth of the industry and business, but in these unprecedented times our top priority is the health and safety of all attendees, exhibitors, staff, volunteers, and industry partners,” Eardley said.
