Walmart has been developing a membership program called Walmart+ designed to rival Amazon Prime, reports Vox/Recode. According to the report, the program, which could begin testing as soon as next month, is expected to launch as a rebrand of Walmart’s existing Delivery Unlimited service but may have a difference price point than its yearly $98 fee. In addition, the service may feature a text ordering system and perks like discounts for prescription drugs and gas at Walmart gas stations.
A Walmart spokesperson confirmed to Vox/Recode that a membership called Walmart+ was in development but declined to provide other details. Full Story
