Amazon will open a grocery store in Naperville, Ill., according to a liquor license submitted to the city, reports the Chicago Tribune. The retailer has requested a Class D liquor license to sell package goods at 3116 S. Route 59.
Amazon has not confirmed the plans to build a store at the site and told the Chicago Tribune that, “Amazon doesn’t comment on rumor or speculation.” However, Naperville Mayour Steve Chirico says he has known about the plans for a few weeks, stating, “This is very exciting that Amazon has chosen Naperville to locate one of their new concepts. We’re looking forward to working with them.” Full Story
