Direct-to-consumer online retailer Brandless is shutting down after two years of business. In a post on its website, the company said, “While the Brandless team set a new bar for the types of products consumers deserve and at prices they expect, the fiercely competitive direct-to-consumer market has proven unsustainable for our current business model.”
Brandless offered premium private-label food, household essentials and personal care items. In a statement, Brandless thanked customers for, “trusting Brandless to bring you innovative products created with quality materials and clean ingredients.”
