The Impossible Burger has made its East Coast retail debut at 100 Wegmans Food Markets and two Manhattan locations of Fairway Market, reports Progressive Grocer. This comes a week after its official U.S. debut at Gelson’s Markets in Southern California.
According to Impossible Foods, during it’s first full weekend on sale at Gelson’s, the Impossible Burger outsold ground beef from cows based on both revenue and total number of pounds sold. At both Wegmans and Fairway, a 12-ounce package of Impossible Burger is available for $8.99 in the meat and meatless protein sections. Full Story
