KFC Tests Plant-Based Chicken

KFC is testing plant-based chicken at an Atlanta restaurant, reports Food Business News. Partnering with Beyond Meat, KFC is launching six and 12 piece nuggets and boneless wings on August 27. Test feedback will help KFC decide whether to expand the pilot or expand nation-wide.

“KFC Beyond Fried Chicken is so delicious, our customers will find it difficult to tell that it's plant-based,” Mr. Hochman said. “I think we've all heard ‘it tastes like chicken’ — well our customers are going to be amazed and say, ‘it tastes like Kentucky Fried Chicken.’” Full Story
