British bakery chain Greggs has seen a 58 percent surge in profits, largely due to its new vegan-friendly sausage roll, reports Forbes. The roll consistently sold out in the first weeks of its launch, and helped the chain boost total sales almost 15 percent from the previous year.
To keep up with demand, Greggs says that it is now developing more hot food options, as well as adding 100 new stores throughout the next year. Full Story
