Grocery Workers in Southern California Resume Talks with Retailers

United Food and Commercial Workers union locals in Southern California have resumed talks with retailers after authorizing a possible strike two weeks ago, reports Supermarket News. "As we have said all along, we are committed to continuing to invest in our associates — providing secure, stable jobs with competitive pay and benefits,” says Ralphs President Mike Murphy. “We know our associates are the heart of our company. With a balanced approach, this agreement can be a win for everyone — our associates, our communities and our company." Full Story
