A new study released by Packaged Facts has revealed that eating trends are changing among consumers, reports Food Business News. Mealtime patterns have deviated from three square meals a day to the consumption of smaller meals and snacks throughout the day.
"There's a surging fluidity to modern mealtimes," said David Sprinkle, research director for Packaged Facts. "The reality is U.S. adults are increasingly eating differently, if not necessarily eating less."
The study also found that the perception of breakfast as the most important meal of the day is also shifting, with a decreasing number of people who believe the meal is more important than either lunch or dinner. Full Story
