Swedish bakery Fabrique will open its first U.S. location in New York City, reports Eater. The chain is known for its kardemummabullar, or cardamom bun, which is the brand's top seller. Other items include a ham, cheese, and mustard croissant, saffron croissants, and sourdough breads.
Fabrique has nearly 20 locations in Stockholm, as well as five in London. It was founded 11 years ago in Stockholm and now reportedly makes $11.8 million in annual revenue. The owners are insistent on making each item fresh daily and growing only when they find a "good room." Full Story
