Jaime Oliver's restaurant chain has gone into administration, with 22 out of 25 U.K. locations planned to close, reports Reuters. Gatwick Airport's two Italian branches and its Diner will stay open in the short-term. The administration also affects Barbecoa, a steakhouse, and Fifteen London, Oliver's first restaurant which he founded in 2002.

Britain's high street is facing a tough environment, as more and more businesses close. Boparan Restaurant Group plans to close more than a third of its Giraffe and Ed's Easy Diner outlets, while Carluccio's, Prezzo, Strada, and Gourmet Burger Kitchen closed branches in 2018. There were almost 5 million fewer trips to full-service restaurants in the 12 weeks to March 24, compared with a year earlier, according to Kantar, while sales in such restaurants declined 6 percent in the year to March 24. Full Story
