Lidl to Open Stores Along East Coast

Lidl will open 25 stores in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia by spring 2020. This includes the first four stores that will open on Long Island, N.Y. by 2020. In addition, it will close two stores in Rockingham and Kinston, N.C.

"We are committed to long-term growth in the U.S. and always strive to locate in the most convenient locations for our shoppers," says Johannes Fieber, CEO of Lidl US. "These new stores are part of the next steps in our U.S. expansion."
