Report: Customers Are Loyal to Private Label Brands

A recent report from consulting firm Daymon revealed that more than half of consumers are loyal to a specific store due to its private label brands, according to Food Dive. Private brand sales grew 4 percent in 2018, with 20 percent of that growth coming from products that are branded premium, trendy, or organic.

Forty-one percent of customers noted that they would like to see more better-for-you products, and 44 percent want more unique attributes for private label products. To keep up with consumer preferences, many retailers including Natural Grocers, Raley's, and SpartanNash are updating their private label lines. Full Story
