Nine companies are participating in Sprint Corp. and Dairy Farmers of America's sixth-annual Sprint Accelerator program, reports Kansas City Business Journal. Startups in agricultural technology and dairy food products, as well as 5G technology, will work directly with leaders from Sprint, Dairy Farmers of America, and CoBank.
For dairy food products, the Brooklyn Buttery, based in Brooklyn, N.Y., is reimagining butter for the 21st century using new flavors and sustainably sourced ingredients. RifRaf, also based in Brooklyn, offers cool, creamy ricotta cups, while Numa of Bridgewater, N.J., makes all-natural sweet, chewy milk treats with just six natural ingredients and 4 grams of protein.
In agricultural technology, the 2019 class includes Healthy Cow, an agricultural biotechnology company helping dairy farmers produce more natural and nutritious milk while simultaneously reducing their dependence on antibiotics and hormones.
The Sprint Accelerator program will culminate on Demo Day on June 27, when the startups showcase their ideas. Since its inception in 2014, the program has worked with 45 startup companies, raising more than $36 million combined since participating in the program. Full Story
