Whole Foods Market has opened a smaller-format test concept in New York called Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, reports Eater. The store focuses on local products as well as grab-and-go items, but offers some traditional grocery items and household products.
In addition to produce from Gotham Greens, breads from Balthazar, and doughnuts from Dunwell and Dough, the shop also features a bar run by Allegro Coffee Co. with coffee, fresh juice, and kombucha, as well as an açaà station.
Whole Foods has been experimenting with different store concepts in New York City, opening a food hall-like branch in Bryant Park and another in Williamsburg. Full Story
