Pabst Blue Ribbon is Launching a Whiskey

Pabst Blue Ribbon is launching a self-branded whiskey this summer, reports Food & Wine. The venture will mark the company's first foray into the whiskey space.

The liquor's label has already been approved by The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, and it reveals that Pabst Blue Ribbon Whiskey has 52 percent corn content with the remainder made up of a mixture of malted barley, wheat, and rye. The liquor will be produced in 750 milliliter bottles and will be 80 proof. The label also says the whiskey is "aged for five seconds." And a person familiar with the matter referred to it as a "white whiskey."

Pabst Blue Ribbon Whiskey will be distilled and bottled by Pabst in collaboration with Michigan's New Holland Brewing, a company that Pabst also partners with for beer distribution. Full Story
