According to new research from Bain & Company, only 3 percent of grocery spending in the U.S. is online, reports Food & Wine. Bain & Company surveyed 8,000 grocery shoppers in the U.S. and found that only 6 percent were shopping for groceries online at least once a month.
Convenience is one of the biggest reasons that consumers are slow to adopt online shopping; only 42 percent of first-time shoppers felt like shopping online saved time. In addition, consumers don't trust online retailers to give them the best deal or the freshest products. Full Story
