Kosher supermarket chain Seasons was acquired by the CEO of the Maramont Corp., a foodservice company, reports Supermarket News.
The company filed for bankruptcy in September, which came as a surprise because Seasons was on the verge of opening more stores in the U.S. At the time of the bankruptcy filing, Seasons, founded in New York City's Queens borough in 2011, had eight locations, including stores in Manhattan, Baltimore and one being developed in Cleveland.
The chain will reopen its location in Scarsdale, N.Y., and will continue operating stores in Queens and Long Island, N.Y., and Clifton and Lakewood, N.J. Full Story
