Baby food company Yumi is expanding its products to include offerings for kids from 6 months to 2 years old, using recipes from star chefs, reports New York Post. The first collaboration is with James Beard Award-winning chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Jon & Vinny's in Los Angeles. The duo created a ragu and creamy polenta product for babies 9 months old and up. Like the rest of Yumi's offerings, it is plant-based and organic, with no dairy.
The baby food is less seasoned than traditional ragu and has no salt or sugar added. It gets its cheesiness from nutritional yeast, which is high in vitamin B and protein. Full Story
