Everbowl, a craft superfood chain, has secured $3 million in funding from Serruya Private Equity, a Canada-based firm that has worked with companies including Pinkberry, Jamba Juice, Yogen Früz, and Cold Stone Creamery.
Everbowl offers a counter-service menu of no-sugar-added, superfood bases including acai, pitaya, graviola, and acerola from its production facility in Brazil along with items such as superfood smoothies, oats, and salads. The San Diego-based company has 17 locations and will use this funding to embark on an aggressive expansion plan in California. There is also the possibility it may enter markets in Arizona, Nevada, and other states in the region. The company expects to open up to 45 locations by the end of 2019.
