According to a report released by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, people who depend on SNAP benefits could be impacted by the government shutdown through March, reports Food & Wine. Due to the timing of the monthly benefits schedule, many will have to make the food stamps issued on January 20 last for 40 days until March benefits are issued. Some households may even have to stretch the benefits for 50 days, as benefits are issued varying by state.
