Martin Bauer Group has expanded its tea extract manufacturing facility in Hangzhou, China to 200,000 square feet, doubling its production capacity for green and black tea extracts. The company views the project as timely given the growing demand for extracts for ready-to-drink products and other beverage applications in North America.
Martin Bauer says the expansion enables the company to service major tea brands and grow its overall presence in the beverage industry. The company plans to use a significant portion of the production for the U.S. business.
