Billion Vegans, a Los Angeles-based startup, has launched a marketplace and aims to be the "Amazon for vegans." The company has over 4,000 products from 200 sellers, including brands such as Daiya and Silk. "All products on our site are vetted by our team to make sure they are actually vegan," says co-founder and CEO Alon Hochberg.
Hochberg estimates that in the U.S. alone, online vegan shopping is a $30 billion market. The company is currently only shipping in the U.S. but plans to roll out to Canada in 2019 and then expand further abroad.
