Plant-based foods, robots, and artisanal doughnuts are some of the restaurant and hospitality industry trends predicted for 2019, according to consulting firm af&co., reports Dallas Business Journal. Other trends include globally inspired breakfast and brunch menus, reducing food waste, Georgian cuisine, and reinvented teas.
Among issues such as healthcare, minimum wage, waste, and workers' rights, af&co. founder Andrew Freeman said the underlying theme for 2019 is focused on promoting widespread change. "The hospitality industry is leading the charge in creating the world we want to live in," he notes. Full Story
