Schnucks Markets to Use Shelf Scanning Robot

Schnucks Markets will deploy Simbe Robotics' autonomous shelf-scanning robot in at least 15 stores. The rollout is an expansion of a three-store pilot launched in 2017.

The robot, called Tally, can conduct autonomous product audits, provide timely alerts for out-of-stock, low stock, and misplaced items, ensure price tag updates are expedited to reflect price adjustments and promotions, deliver continuous in-store performance insights for brand and retail service partners, and optimize product location to create a more organized shopping flow. Tally robots in Schnucks stores traverse the floors three times per day, scanning approximately 35,000 products per traversal.
