Blue Apron has launched its first on-demand delivery with a pilot program in New York City. A rotating selection of Blue Apron meals are now available on-demand to customers in select city zip codes on the Grubhub and Seamless platforms.
Customers can have a Blue Apron meal delivered to their doorstep in less than an hour. The offering is delivered in new custom packaging and includes fresh, pre-portioned ingredients to cook two- or four-serving a la carte meals in 30 minutes or less. In addition to Blue Apron meals, customers can order add-on culinary products from Blue Apron suppliers and partners, including Vermont Creamery cheeses, Irving Farm coffee, and broths from Brodo.
Blue Apron plans to expand this channel by adding same-day, on-demand platforms over the coming months.
