The pea protein market is expected to surpass $104 million in international revenue, a growth of about 12 percent, by 2026, according to a report by Future Market Insights. In addition to pea protein's direct consumption, demand for the non-allergen and non-GMO protein is increasing in bakery usage, while its use as a dietary supplement will continue to be the largest segment.
Among all pea protein types, concentrates will continue to account for the highest demand, as they represented 32 percent share of the global market in 2016. North America will continue to lead global demand, and widespread availability of raw materials and manufacturing companies will continue to boost demand for pea proteins in the region.
