Amazon Debuts Whole Foods Grocery Pickup

Amazon and Whole Foods Market have launched grocery pickup in Sacramento, Calif., and Virginia Beach, Va., with more cities to be added through the rest of 2018. Amazon Prime members now have the option to shop for Whole Foods Market groceries online and pick up their order in as little as 30 minutes without leaving their car.

To use the service, customers place their order through the Prime Now app and choose the pickup option at checkout. Free pickup is available in as little as an hour on orders of at least $35 or in 30 minutes for $4.99. Upon arrival to the store, customers park at a reserved pickup spot, and a Prime Now shopper will place groceries in their car within minutes. Customers can also communicate with the store through the Prime Now app, enabling their groceries to be ready as they arrive.

Both pickup and delivery from Whole Foods Market are available daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. These services are integrated with the Amazon Alexa voice-activated virtual assistant.
