Amazon Extends Fresh Grocery Delivery

Amazon recently made Amazon Fresh grocery delivery available to those without Amazon Prime memberships for a fee in select U.S. cities, reports TechCrunch. Previously, the delivery service was only available to active subscription users.

Non-subscription users in the following cities are now able to order online from Amazon Fresh stores and warehouses: Austin, Texas; Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; Dallas-Fort Worth; Denver; Nashville, Tennessee; Phoenix; Portland, Oregon; Richmond, Virginia; Sacramento, California; San Diego; and San Francisco.

“We’re always looking for more ways to make grocery shopping easy, fast, and affordable for all of our customers, and are excited to offer Amazon Fresh grocery delivery to customers without a Prime membership in a dozen U.S. cities,” said Claire Peters, the worldwide VP of Amazon Fresh. “Now even more Amazon customers can benefit from our high-quality grocery experience, with Prime members continuing to save on grocery delivery fees and through exclusive savings on hundreds of items in-store.”

Non-members placing an order must pay a fee to use the service. For orders under $50 the fee is $13.95, orders between $50 and $100 will have a fee of $10.95, and orders over $100 will have a $7.95 fee. Full Story
