Whole Foods to Charge Amazon Prime Members Delivery Fee

Starting October 25, every Whole Foods delivery order placed through Amazon Prime will incur a $9.95 delivery charge, reports CNN. Amazon Prime members were notified via email of the change last week.

The new fee was piloted in six markets over the summer (Portland, Maine; Providence, Rhode Island; Manchester, New Hampshire; and the greater Detroit, Boston, and Chicago areas.)

According to a Whole Foods spokesperson, the fee is designed to help cover operating costs associated with delivery, including equipment and technology, without raising grocery prices, according to the report. Full Story
