Amazon Moves Prime Now Service

Amazon Prime Now, which provides customers fast delivery from Amazon and local stores, has moved from a separate app onto the Amazon app and website. The Prime Now app and website will be retired worldwide by the end of the year.

This move gives customers an improved shopping experience, said the retailer, allowing them to shop, track orders, and contact customer service from one place, in addition to giving them the ability to add items until Amazon begins preparing their order, or in the U.S., add items from their Alexa shopping list to their Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods Market shopping cart.

“Whether it's two-hour delivery from Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, or one of our local stores like Bartell's in Seattle, Morrisons in Leeds, or Monoprix in Paris, Prime members will find what they need alongside the millions of items available on Amazon,” said Stephenie Landry, vice president of grocery at Amazon, in a statement.
