Vincent Dole of Dolefam Has Passed Away

Vincent Dole of Dolefam Corp. has died at the age of 76 after battling an illness for several years. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve, and his son, Alex.

Dole was named to the SFA Hall of Fame in 2015 for his contributions to the specialty food industry. At a time when supermarkets were reluctantly beginning to carry specialty foods, Dolefam Corp. was one of the first to aggressively sell them. The success of Dolefam’s brands in broader distribution helped convince supermarkets that specialty foods were here to stay.

Arlen S. Gould, who was partners with Dole at Dolefam Corp. and Cardini Salad Dressings, said in a statement to SFN Daily news, “He left us way too young.”
