Coca-Cola is discontinuing Zico coconut water and may cut other, less popular versions of Coke and Diet Coke, reports Food Dive. The downsizing is a part of the company’s ongoing efforts to streamline its portfolio to focus on offerings that can achieve large scale.
Brands under review include Diet Coke Feisty Cherry, Coke Life, and regional soda brands like Northern Neck Ginger Ale and Delaware Punch. Coca-Cola is also ending retail store sales of Hubert’s Lemonade.
This news comes after an announcement earlier this year that the company would discontinue its Odwalla juice businesses and divest the refrigerated trucking network that it uses to deliver it to stores. Full Story
