A Kohl’s location in La Verne, California, will allow an Amazon grocery store to occupy some of its retail space, reports Progressive Grocer. According to city records, Kohl’s would occupy 50,900 square feet of the 88,000-square-foot area, with the Amazon grocery store, likely its new Fresh banner, occupying the rest.
Assistant City Planner Maia McCurley told the Daily Bulletin that the stores would be separated by a wall and that there is no timeline for opening the store just yet.
An Amazon spokesperson told Progressive Grocer that, “Amazon doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation.” Full Story
