Recently, the SFA hosted its first virtual Share Groups to bring members together to network and share experiences. About 40 participants joined in two share groups, held at 5 p.m. EST and 5 p.m. PST on July 29, to talk with peers and problem-solve in the current unsettled business environment. The overriding theme through the discussions in both groups was the unpredictability of today’s market and how companies can be responsive to it. Participants wrestle with how to plan, allocate resources, and manage the supply chain. The impact of COVID-19 on consumers’ preferences and habits is a leading concern with makers.
