PCC Community Markets, the largest community-owned food market in the U.S., is expanding with a new location in Bellevue, Washington, which brings the total number of co-op locations to 14 across Puget Sound. In addition, the Kirkland PCC will move to a larger location in 2021.
The Bellevue store will be more environmentally-friendly than other PCC locations, with sustainably-sourced building materials and energy-efficient systems that lower climate impacts. In addition, the store will feature a full-service meat and seafood department, made-from-scratch deli offerings, and an espresso and bakery counter.
The relocated Kirkland location will be 30 percent larger than the previous one. It will also include a seafood-focused restaurant similar to the one at the Ballard PCC location.
