Poultry company Sanderson Farms Inc. is reducing its chicken production in Georgia, reports Reuters. The company had to order more than 400 slaughterhouse workers to stay home as a precaution against the COVID-19 outbreak.
To meet increased store demand, Sanderson is shifting production toward chicken sold in “tray packs” in supermarkets, rather than supplying to restaurants and foodservice outlets. Full Story
