7-Eleven Opens Dallas Pop-Up Store for Hospital Workers

7-Eleven has opened a pop-up store at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, the flagship hospital of Children’s Health. The store provides access to food and essential items for health care workers and patient families during the COVID-19 pandemic. The store allows hospital staff to use their employee badges to pay, in addition to the traditional debit/credit checkout, to help minimize person-to-person contact.

“Our health care team members are on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19 every day taking care of the children in our community while their own families are home from school, work and their daily routines,” said Chris Durovich, president and CEO of Children’s Health, in a statement. “Our work with 7Eleven allows us to provide more comfort and convenience to those within our facilities by making everyday essential items easy to locate, purchase and take home.”
