Starbucks has started testing a new recyclable cup at stores in Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, New York, and London. The new cup features an innovative cup liner that make it “certified compostable and recyclable,” according to Starbucks.
The BioPBS cups were just one of the winners of the NextGen Cup Challenge, designed to develop an industry-wide recyclable and compostable to-go cup solution. Starbucks will continue to test and validate the recyclability of the various challenge winners.
