Sufresca, an Israeli startup that designs edible coating solutions for fruit and vegetables, has raised $500,000 seed funding from the agri-foodtech VC Rimonim, reports Ag Funder News. The “breathable coating” technology will extend the shelf life of produce by several weeks while also eliminating the need for refrigerated storage and cutting down on plastic packaging.
