The CDC is investigating a multi-state outbreak of E. coli, which has infected 17 people across eight states. The outbreak may be related to a recent identification made by the Maryland Department of Health of an E. coli strain in an unopened package of Ready Pac Foods Bistro Chicken Caesar Salad, however, further laboratory testing needs to be done before it can be determined if the E. coli strains are genetically related.
The possibly contaminated Ready Pac Foods Bistro Chicken Caesar Salads have a “Best By” date of October 31, 2019 and are marked with a lot number 255406963. The salads were sold in many states and at many retailers.
