Kroger is partnering with the Plant Based Food Association to bring plant-based protein to the meat section of its stores, reports CNN. This fall, in 60 locations throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Denver, consumers will be able to find plant-based meat alternatives from brands like Tofurky, Uptons Naturals, and Lightlife right alongside traditional meat products. The test will run for 20 weeks.
This new placement feature clear signage that helps customers find the plant-based products, and hopefully expose customers to the variety of options that are now available in the category. Full Story
